As our team surveyed the wide range of transformative potential applications for AI, we had a shared insight: while cybersecurity was contemporary and sophisticated, was receiving a huge amount of attention and investment, and was evolving almost daily to meet threats, physical security—the need to keep homes, businesses, and other facilities safe and secure—was still dependent on 1970's era technology, generated a huge amount of false positives, relied heavily on poorly trained, low wage humans, and did not use any contextual information to assess and respond to threats—leaving homes and facilities vulnerable in many ways. Moreover, the issues with existing physical security devices, systems, and techniques were compounded by two dangerous asymmetries: the bad guys almost always had more information about the good guys' security systems and processes than the good guys did; and, on a risk-adjusted basis, the bad guys almost always had a lot less to lose than the good guys. We realized then that, for the first time, AI would enable us to address the inefficiency and ineffectiveness of the existing physical security ecosystem, and to neutralize these asymmetries through the use of data that only AI could ingest and analyze.

Our mission has been to build the first and only AI platform to keep homes, businesses, and other facilities--and the people within them--safe and secure.
